MU PLUG-TYPE ATTENUATOR
The new MU plug - Type Attenuator

Cornate d'Adda, June 2008 - Compel Electronics widens its family of optical attenuators by introducing a new MU plug-type attenuator. Designed to fit applications where an MU plug on one side and a receptacle for MU-J on the other are required, it provides a cost effective and high quality signal attenuation together with the MU typical compact and densely packaged interconnection.
Our MU/MU-J attenuator  features UL94-V0 thermoplastic outer housing and cladding mode suppression fibre as attenuating agent, and guarantees:

• high reliability and durability for high-input power

• precise control over the operating wavelength range ( 1250 – 1650 nm ) and  temperature 

independent performance. 

Its main applications are:

• Dynamic power balancing in DWDM applications and in optical Add/Drop Multiplexing

• EDFA

• High power optical network equipment
