With these specific series of filter connectors developed for telecom and industrial applications, aimed at eliminating conducted interference (EMI/RFI), Compel Electronics is continuously extending the range of its already well-known product line of D-sub connectors.
Cornate d’Adda, february 2006 - Compel Electronics S.p.A., a leading international company in the design and manufacture of interconnection systems and cable assemblies, is continuously extending the range of its already well-known product line of D-sub connectors. Over recent years a specific series of filter connectors has been developed for telecom and industrial applications, aimed at eliminating conducted interference (EMI/RFI).
These connectors are made with an integrated capacitive filter, using consolidated technology with chips array, tubular capacitors or planar ceramic multilayers.
The integration is such that the standard measurements of the D-Sub product line are maintained, in line with the DIN 41652 standard, and this means that the wide range of accessories already available for these products can also be used with the filter connectors.
The product line is available in different versions (number of poles, male/female, with straight and right angle dip solder terminations for cable applications with manual soldering) and with different standard capacitive values (from 330 pF to1500 pF), or according to customer requirements.
For versions with a tubular filter and chips, it can be even further personalised and optimised in that each single pin of the same connector can have a different capacitive value.
Compel also offers a series of Male Power D-Sub (3W3) Filter Connectors in various configurations:
- With and without polarisation
- With straight and right angle dip solder terminations
- For free-hanging cable usage, with manual soldering
- Straight and right angle press fit, with standard type versions, “low profile” versions and with current capacity up to 40 A.
The latter connectors, made with capacitive filters in a planar ceramic multilayer pass the Voltage Surge test according to the IEC 801-5 standard.
The standard capacitive value is 47000 pF; other values can be made available on request.
