Compel Electronics presents the new rectangular power connectors

Compel Electronics S.p.A. is a leading international company in the design and manufacture of interconnection systems and cable assemblies. In addition to its already proven series of 14-34-50 and 75-way RECTANGULAR CONNECTORS, which comply with the MIL-C-2874 and 23216 standards and the ENEL DV 801A prescription, some time ago Compel developed a new product line of 24-way RECTANGULAR POWER CONNECTORS in both the board and free-hanging cable versions, to be used in the industrial sector. They have been designed with the aim of meeting the need for multiple connections for high currents, are robust, practical and highly reliable.
These connectors can be equipped with male or female size 16 precision-machined crimp contacts, suitable for conductors from 16 to 8 AWG and for currents of 10, 20, 30 and 40 A. The crimping is quickly carried out using a semi-automatic manual crimp tool.
For both the board and the cable connectors it is possible to house the contacts (male or female – for different current values) as desired, in any position whatsoever, and they can also be removed just as easily, using a special extracting tool.
All this means that a wide range of personalised combinations can be carried out, thanks also to the numerous accessories that are available, such as hoods with a cable clamp with straight or right angle exit, specific polarisation guide and coupling jackscrews.
